The challenge

The Break Off is a gym community built around fitness and recovery — a new nonprofit with a growing membership base that had outgrown what Wix could hold. They were managing memberships through Wix, processing donations through Zeffy, and running their shop manually. None of these systems talked to each other. As they moved toward peer-to-peer fundraising and a more structured member experience, they needed a platform that could hold all of it in one place — built to their brand, not configured from a template.

The migration

164 contacts and 18 active members moved from Wix to Manna without disruption. Legacy members kept their original pricing — $49.99 or $65 per month depending on when they joined — locked in perpetuity as a condition of the migration. New members pay the current rate. The pricing logic is handled at the Stripe level with separate price IDs per tier, so the distinction is enforced at checkout rather than managed manually. Members received a migration email sequence walking them through claiming their account and re-entering payment information, since payment data cannot transfer between processors.

The membership portal

Every Break Off member gets a dedicated portal after joining. The onboarding flow collects intake information, walks members through a digital waiver, and connects them to the team's scheduling calendar to book their first session. Both membership tiers — standard and founding — are purchasable directly through the portal with Stripe handling recurring billing. Members can view their history, manage their subscription, and access their profile without contacting the team. The portal reflects The Break Off's brand completely — brutalist, bold, and built for the community it serves.

The fundraising and shop

P2P fundraising runs on the same platform as membership. Individual fundraiser pages, team aggregates, live leaderboards, and a reward system tied to giving thresholds. The merch shop connects directly to Printful — no inventory, no manual fulfillment. Products are print-on-demand and orders sync automatically. Donations and merchandise run through the same Stripe Connect account wired directly to The Break Off, with a cover-the-fee option at checkout that reduces processing costs on every transaction.

The admin

The Break Off's team manages everything through a single admin dashboard — member management, donation records, email campaigns, content editing, support ticketing, and knowledge base articles. No developer required for day-to-day operations. The knowledge base and ticketing system mean member support is handled inside the platform rather than through a separate tool.
